• WORK-AT-HOME MODULES

All teacher create-and-edit programs are designed with a work at home version. This allows teachers to take a program like eMAP home on floppy disk, or download it from your district's website. The software can then be installed on a home computer and teachers can create and edit eMAPS on their computer (PC only) at home. More importantly, there is no need for an Internet connection to work on maps, pblas, or lesson plans.

  • CLICKABLE LINKS TO ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS

One of the key features of the eCURRICULUM SYSTEM is the ability to use clickable links. For example, while you are viewing an eMAP on the screen, you can click on a PBA listed in the RESOURCES box and the ePBA software will open with the PBA loaded for viewing, printing or editing. In addition, Office files, graphics files, PDFs, and other resources may be opened from within the eMAP, ePBA, and eLESSONPLAN software.

  • CONSORTIUM-BASED APPROACH PUTS YOU IN CONTACT WITH THE PROGRAMMER

The eCURRICULUM SYSTEM is a work in progress. The software is designed by a technology administrator and programmer. Schools and districts are encouraged to make suggestions and requests for new additions and new features directly to the software author. That's why we're sure the interface is easy to use and teacher-friendly!

  • CONSISTENT INTERFACE REDUCES TRAINING TIME FOR YOUR STAFF

Training teachers to use the eCURRICULUM SYSTEM is easier because all of the teacher create-and-edit programs use the same single-screen interface. A one hour session gets most teachers ready to go!

  • NETWORK OR INTERNET ACCESS TO DATABASES

The master databases that store all of the district's ECURRICULUM SYSTEM documents can be housed on your local area network (LAN or WAN), or on the district's intranet or Internet server. The complete system can be stored on all well known operating systems and Internet servers. (or on a CD rom if a network isn't available)

  • FILES ARE STORED IN STANDARD TEXT FORMAT

All electronic documents are stored as simple text files. There are no proprietary formats. In addition, you control the use and distribution of your school or district's content. Many competitive systems store your data on their servers, and many "reserve the right to publish, distribute and sell your district's content.
