The eCURRICULUM SYSTEM includes a set of programs that help teachers create and edit electronic documents that are stored in a set of master databases, accessible via your LAN, WAN, intranet or Internet.

  • eMAP

The eMAP program uses a single page interface that makes it easy for teachers to collect their thoughts and ideas, and develop curriculum maps that document the scope and sequence of what they teach in their classrooms.

As teachers develop eMAPS, first individually, and then in teams, they identify the Connecticut Framework Student Performance Standards that are covered in each unit of study. The complete list of current Connecticut Performance Standards are listed by subject in HTML format for inclusion on your website.

Each eMAP includes space to store Essential and Focus Questions, Content, Skills, Assured Experiences, Assessments, Optional Activities, Resources, and Additional Notes that relate to the unit being mapped.

  • ePBA

The ePBA program also uses a single page interface that is similar to the interface in eMAP. ePBA helps teachers develop performance based learning assessment units that are stored electronically, and may be posted for use by other teachers. ePBAs can be used as assured experiences in eMAPS. When in an eMAP document, a double-click on a listed ePBA will open the it for viewing or editing.

Each ePBA includes space to store Background, Task, Audience, Purpose, Procedure, Assessment, Resources, and Skills that relate to the performance based learning assessment.

  • eLP - LESSON PLANNER

eLP, the lesson plan program that is included in the eCURRICULUM SYSTEM, allows teachers to develop lesson plans that may be used personally or shared with fellow teachers. Teachers may select to use eLP to create a set of "emergency lesson plans" stored with a school secretary, for use by a substitiute teacher. Districts may choose to use the eLP format to prepare lesson plans that are part of a teacher evaluation plan.

  • eCTS Connecticut Standards Database

eCTS is a program that is included in the eCURRICULUM SYSTEM in two versions. eCTS allows teachers to scan through the Connecticut Framework Performance Standards Database, using a simple Windows interface. eCTS PLUS has an additional feature. It allows users to view the same standards, and includes a listing of the eMAPS that relate to a specific performance standard. In this way a teacher or administrator can easily review which standards are being addressed by a school or district in their complete eMAP database, and which standards are not included in a district's eMAPS.

  • eCS ADMIN

eCS ADMIN programs, ePREP, eMAPADM, ePBAADM, ELPADM and EDOCADM, are used by the system manager to organize, index, and publish the documents in the eCURRICULUM SYSTEM. A designated system manager (usually a secreterial staff member) runs eCS ADMIN to create the files that are posted to the district's LAN, WAN, intranet, or Internet.

eCS ADMIN is run as needed when new eMAPS, ePBAS, or eLESSON PLANS must be added to the master databases. The process of updating and creating master files takes less than 5 minutes!
